This paper continues the theme of an earlier paper by the author [J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 4, 264-270 (1971; Zbl 0223.16020)], namely that certain generalized commutativity conditions imply that d.g. near- rings are rings. The two main results are as follows. If R is a d.g. near-ring which contains a set of distributive elements whose squares generate \((R,+)\), has a 1 and for each x,y\(\in R\), there exists \(n(x,y),m(x,y)>0\) such that \(xy=y^ mx^ n\), then R is a commutative ring. If R is a d.g. near-ring such that for each x,y\(\in R\), there exists \(n(x,y)>0\) such that \(xy=(yx)^ n\), then R is commutative, and a ring if, in addition, \(R^ 2=R\). There are several other interesting results of this type in the paper.
