    The authors obtain an exact solution for the following dual series equations involving the generalized Laguerre polynomials: \[ \sum^\infty_{n=0} {A_n L^{(\alpha)}_n[(x+ b)^h]\over \Gamma(\alpha+ n+ 1)}= f(x),\qquad 0< x< a,\tag{1} \] \[ \sum^\infty_{n=0} {A_n L^{(\sigma)}_n[(x+ b)^h]\over \Gamma(\alpha+ n+\beta)}= g(x),\qquad\alpha< x<\infty,\tag{2} \] where \(\alpha+\beta+ 1>\beta>1-m\), \(\sigma+1> \alpha+\beta> 0\), \(m\) is a positive integer, and \(0< b<\infty\), \(0\leq b<\infty\), and \(h\) and \(b\) are finite constants. \(L^{(\alpha)}_n[(x+ b)^h]\) is a Laguerre polynomial, \(A_n\) are unkown coefficients, and \(f(x)\) and \(g(x)\) are prescribed functions. The case \(h- 1= b= 0\) of the dual series equations (1) and (2) was completely solved by the reviewer [Pac. J. Math. 30,5 25--527 (1969; Zbl 0179.10102); J. Math. Anal. Appl. 31, 587--594 (1970; Zbl 0197.34301)].
