The problem of a single server queueing system is modelled through an \(H^\infty\) control problem. The feedback is discontinuous while the control is only measurable; so this system is different from the \(H^\infty\) smooth case. The authors use the interpretation of the \(H^\infty\) problem as a differential game and investigate the associated Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman-Isaacs equation. Some examples are discussed and applications to traffic signal control and computer networks are mentioned.
