This paper develops a boundary integral method for the orthotropic linear plate analysis. Two fundamental boundary value problems are considered. The essential question to this approach, which is based on the method of Fichera, is the construction of a fundamental singularity. This is done using the skew complex variables introduced by Lekhnistskij. The introduction of these skew complex variables simplifies much of the analytical calculations and permits a very lucid presentation of results.
