The authors apply a novel method called the ``network model approach'' to the kinematic analysis of mechanisms containing bevel-gear trains. The method is illustrated in an application to a robot arm. The paper is reasonably well-written and could be of interest and use to designers and kinematicians working with mechanisms, robots, and multibody systems in general.
