After six years David Gale hands over the editorial of this enjoyable column to Alexander Shen of Moscow. The three final items, as all preceding ones very well chosen, are concerned with `Problems and Patterns' concerning entries of two-dimensional arrays, `Another Probability Paradox' on games and payoffs, and `A Pretty Proof' introducing an exposition of \textit{M. Misiurewicz} on `Lacing Irregular Shoes' (see pp. 32-34 of this issue) giving a variation and extension of \textit{J. Halton's} `The Shoelace Problem', Math. Intell. 17, No. 4, 36-41 (1995; Zbl 0834.90132).
