Given an \(A_\infty\)-algebra \(\mathcal A\) with an \(\infty\)-inner product, the authors construct a differential graded Lie algebra \((\mathfrak h=\bigoplus_i\mathfrak h^i,d,[-,-])\) which controls deformations of \(\mathcal A\). This generalizes deformation theories of \(A_\infty\)-algebras by, e.g., \textit{A. Fialowski} and \textit{M. Penkava} [J. Algebra 255, No. 1, 59-88 (2002; Zbl 1038.17012)], and \(A_\infty\)-algebras with inner products. Because two spaces with the same homotopy type have the same string topology operations [\textit{R. L. Cohen, J. Klein} and \textit{D. Sullivan}, math.GT/0509667 (2005)], its possible application involves string topology.
