Unifying the known theorems of Fan-Browder and Kakutani-Fan-Glicksberg the author presents a fixed point result for a multimap in a locally convex space such that some of its components are convex-valued and have open preimages and the other ones are upper semicontinuous. As application a nonemptiness result for the core of an exchange economy with asymmetric information, a continuum of states and a finite number of commodities is given.
