The authors consider the Bezout equation for matrices \(XN + YD = I\), where D and N are \(r\times r\) and \(q\times r\) matrices, respectively, and I is the \(r\times r\) identity matrix. The coefficients of D and N are assumed to be multivariate polynomials or entire functions of Paley- Wiener type. In each of these cases the authors obtain conditions which guarantee the existence of a solution (X,Y) of the equation.
