A design method for causal nonminimal-order observer-based controllers for singular linear systems is proposed. The method can be extended to various cases including full-order and minimal-order causal observer-based controllers. A new state space representation of the Bézout identity is derived. From the Bézout identity, the controller parametrization is characterized.
