The paper presents a computer algebra implementation of Lie group symmetry methods for solving first- and second-order ordinary differential equations (ODEs), constructed as an update of the Maple's dedicated package, ODE tools. The set of routines includes a solver, user-level commands, and special commands for testing the returned results and for classifying the differential equations. Although the implementation of the methods involves much more complicate operations than the traditional matching-pattern schemes, the generality of the families of the differential equations which can be concretely solved with it is rather impressive.
