In this work the author studied some symmetry transformations of shells, as applied to red-blood cell membranes. He utilizes the idea of \textit{J. L. Ericksen} that the symmetry of a constitutive equation of material under a certain group might lead to symmetry of the same equation under a bigger group [ibid. 47, 1-14 (1972; Zbl 0242.73045)]. For this, in Section 2 the author discussed the transformation of generalized coordinates. The discussion of finding the maps T' that satisfy the domain requirement, that is, such a map and its inverse transform admissible states into admissible states is given in Section 3. The determination of which of the subgroups of generalized maps contain the objectivity (Galilei group) is reported in Section 4. Finally, in Section 5, the author showed that such a group is a group of symmetry of red- blood cell membranes. This work is quite interesting, but not well posed, and might be very useful for those researchers working in the area of continuum mechanics.
