    Let \[ X_n \left( x \right) = \sqrt 2 \biggl(\frac{{b\sin \sqrt {\lambda _n } x}}{{\sqrt {\lambda _n } }} + \cos \sqrt {\lambda _n } x\biggl),\quad n = 0,1,2,\dotsc, \] be the eigenfunctions of the spectral problem \[ \begin{gathered} X''(x) + \lambda X(x) = 0,\quad 0 < x < 1, \\ X'(0) = bX(0),\quad X'(1) = d\lambda X(1) \end{gathered} \] with constant coefficients \(b\neq0\) and \(d>0\), where \(\lambda_{n} \) are the roots of the characteristic equation \[ (1 + bd)\sqrt \lambda \sin \sqrt \lambda = (b - d\lambda )\cos \sqrt \lambda. \] Here, the zero index is assigned to an arbitrary eigenvalues and all remaining ones are numbered in ascending order. The system \( \{\Psi_{n}(x)\}\), \(n=0,1,2\dots\), biorthogonal to the system \( \{X_{n}(x)\}\), \(n=0,1,2\dots\), has the form \[ \Psi _n \left( x \right) =\biggl[X_n \left( x \right) - \frac{{X_n \left( 1 \right)}}{{X_0 (1)}}X_0 \left( x \right)\biggl]\biggl[\int\limits_0^1 {X_n^2 } \left( x \right)dx + dX_n^2 \left( 1 \right)\biggl]^{ - 1}. \] The author obtains conditions ensuring the convergence of the series \[ \sum\limits_{n = 1}^\infty {\biggl(\int\limits_0^1 {f\left( t \right)} } \Psi _n \left( t \right)dt\biggl)X_n \left( x \right) \] in the classes \(W_2^m (0,1)\).
