    Let X be a complex Banach space. Let L(X) be the Banach algebra of continuous endomorphisms on X. Let T be an operator in L(X). Define \[ \rho (T):=\{\lambda \in {\mathbb{C}}:\;(\lambda I-T)(X)\text{ is closed and } N(\lambda I-T)\subseteq \cap^{\infty}_{k=1}(\lambda I-T)^ n(X)\}, \] where N(.) denotes the nullspace. Then it is shown a spectral mapping theorem for \(\sigma (T):={\mathbb{C}}\setminus \rho (T)\), i.e. it is given a set of admissible functions f, such that \(\sigma (f(T)=f(\sigma (T))\).
