In the present paper, the basic relationship between the spin, height function and percolation models is described. The author studies a new family of models which specializes to these cases after a proper tuning of the parameters. The relationship between the spin, percolation, and height function models is investigated in further depth by the author. Between the spins and the percolation clusters, the author demonstrates an Edwards-Sokal type coupling. The variance of the difference in height function between two points is also compared to the expected number of clusters in the percolation model that disconnect these points. The author develops various well-known statistical mechanics models for special values of the parameters \((q,q',a,b)\in\{1,2,\cdots\}^{2}\times(0,1]^{2}\). The author recovers the standard Potts and random cluster models as special cases, as well as the six-vertex model and loop \(\mathrm{O}(n)\) model, the random current, double random current, and XOR-Ising model.
