This paper presents some interesting results about the poset of partial isometries in \(C^*\)-algebras endowed with the *-order and *-orthogonality based on Theorem 1, which comes from the theory of \(JB^*\) triples. Especially, it shows some interesting relationship between \(PI(A)\), i.e., the set of all partial isometries and \(P(A)\), i.e., the set of all projections for a \(C^*\)-algebra \(A\). It also presents the condition for two \(C^*\)-algebras \(A\) and \(B\) to be Jordan isomorphic by sets of their partial isometries in some cases.
