The author obtains characterizations of entire subsolutions for the 1-harmonic equation of a constant 1-tension field, and presents their applications in geometry by means of transformation group theory. Also, he proves that all level hypersurfaces of such a subsolution are calibrated, and that every 7-dimensional \(\text{SO}(2)\times\text{SO}(6)\)-invariant absolutely area-minimizing integral current in \(\mathbb R^8\) is real analytic.
