    This paper deals with a generalized projected Gronwall-Bellman inequality \[ u(t) \leq a(t) +\int^t_0 b(t-s)u(s) ds +\int^{\infty}_o c(s)u(t+s) ds,\quad \forall t\geq 0,\tag{1} \] where the functions \(a(t),b(t),c(t)\) and \(u(t)\) are not continuous. The authors of the paper under review prove the following result: If \(u(t): \mathbb{R}^+ \to \mathbb{R}^+\) is a bounded solution of (1) and if \(a(t)\) is bounded, \(b(t)\) is monotonically nonincreasing and \(c(t)\) is integrable on \([0, +\infty)\), then \[ u(t) \leq \frac{\widetilde{a}(t)}{1-\beta} + \frac{b(0)}{(1-\beta)^2} \int^t_0 \Big(\widetilde{a}(s)-a^{\star}\Big)\exp\Big(\Big(\delta + \frac{b(0)}{1-\beta}\Big)(t-s)\Big) ds,\quad \forall t\geq 0, \] where \(\widetilde{a}(t) = \sup_{s\geq t}a(s),\;a^{\star}= \limsup_{t\to +\infty} a(t) \leq a(t)\;\forall t\geq 0\) and \(\beta = \int^{\infty}_0 b(s) ds+ \int^{\infty}_0 c(s) ds < 1.\) Furthermore, application of their result to the case in which \(a(t)\) is not monotonic is considered and an interesting result is obtained.
