    This article is devoted to prove the following theorem: Let f be a (nonconstant) meromorphic function in the complex plane. If f and f' share two finite non-zero complex values a,b counting multiplicities, then \(f'=f\). We remark that the same result was proved independently by \textit{G. G. Gundersen} [Pac. J. Math. 105, 299-309 (1983; Zbl 0497.30025)].
