The authors provide a priori estimates for norms of the first and second order derivatives of the solution of the Cauchy problem for \(\dot u+ Hu=0\) where \(H\) is a symmetric operator that originates from a Dirichlet form. As an ``application'' they present three essential self-adjointness criteria for \(H\). However, the proof of two of these, Theorems 3.1 and 3.3, does not use these estimates at all. In fact, these parts are almost verbatim repetitions from the authors' previous paper ``Self-Adjointness Conditions for Dirichlet Operators'' in Ukrain. Math. J. 42, 253-257 (1990; Zbl 0729.47044) which they do not cite. Details of the proof of Theorem 3.2 are omitted and the impression is given that it is a variant of that of Theorem 3.1.
