The aim of the paper is to prove the following theorem: Let \(G\) be a bounded simply connected domain in the complex plane with \(0\in G\). Put \(\Gamma:= \partial g\) and let \(\omega\) denote the harmonic measure on \(\Gamma\) with respect to \(0\). Then the following two conditions are equivalent: (1) If \(\mu\) is a complex-valued measure on \(\Gamma\) such that \(\int_\Gamma z^n d\mu(z)= 0\) for every integer \(n\geq 1\), then \(\mu\) is absolutely continuous with respect to \(\omega\); (2) \(G\) is a Carathéodory domain with connected \(\mathbb{C}\backslash \overline G\).
