Dynamical systems are used in order to obtain automatic generation of aesthetic patterns with hyperbolic symmetry. The same authors have already used dynamical systems with the same purpose in a previous paper [Comput. Math. Appl. 31, No. 2, 33-47 (1996; Zbl 0847.58055)]. In this paper they present a new algorithm that improves that of the previous paper, since now only two or three generators of a hyperbolic group are involved in the computation to the contrary of the previous paper, where a large number of group elements had to be taken into account in the computation. The authors also present a modified convergence colour scheme that enhance the artistic charm of the images.
