    Let p(z) be a polynomial of degree n with complex coefficients which does not vanish in the unit circle and with zeros \(z_ 1,...,z_ n\) which satisfy \(| z_ k| \geq K_ k\geq 1\), for \(k=1,...,n\). Using properties of fractional linear mappings, the authors prove the following generalization of Bernstein's inequality: \[ \max_{| z| =1}| p'(z)| \leq n(\sum^{n}_{k=1}1/(K_ k- 1))/(\sum^{n}_{k=1}(K_ k+1)/(K_ k-1))\max_{| z| =1}| p(z)|. \]
