Maxwell equations in the time domain are studied. An accurate and efficient explicit hybrid solver for such equations is developed. It is based on Finite Difference-Time Domain methods. For time discretization a third order staggered Adams-Bashforth scheme is used. A spatial filter of Laplace type enables long simulations. Preservation of divergence, furthermore stability, hybridization, and scattering from a sphere are discussed.
