The author presents some facts on quaternions from the point of view of quantum mechanics. He considers so-called generalized quaternions \(q_c= q_1+q_2|i\), two-dimensional complex vector space with the multiplication formally as for complex numbers: \(q_cp_c= q_1p_1- q_2p_2+ (q_1p_2+q_2p_1)|i\). He proposes a kind of a transpose \(q^t\) for the quaternion \(q=a+ib+jc+kd\) as \(q^t= a+ib-jc+kd\), motivated by the equality \((qp)^t= p^tq^t\). Finally, using introduced notions, he discusses the orders of classical finite quaternion groups.
