In this paper singular and fundamental solutions are given to the potential equation, to the bipotential equation and to Navier's differential equation (equilibrium equation) for the plane elasticity problem. These solutions (not only the fundamental solution) can be used as kernels of integral equations by the aid of which it should be possible to solve certain problems advantageously. We outline some promising fields of application.
