A number of simple, easily applicable numerical schemes of fourth-order accuracy for the solution of highly oscillatory problems with linear evolution operators slowly varying in time is formulated. The proposed exponential methods recover exact solutions if the operator is \(t\)-independent and presver \(L^2\) norms for skew selfadjoint ones. Applications on Schrödinger equation with time dependent potential are illustrating the efficiency of the methods.
