The author considers a class of metastable (i.e., with several equilibrium positions) stochastic partial differential equations driven by white noises, and proves an infinite-dimensional version of the Eyring-Kramers formula for the metastable transition times. The proof is based on the spatial finite difference approximation scheme introduced by \textit{N. Berglund} et al. [Nonlinearity 20, No. 11, 2583--2614 (2007; Zbl 1140.60350); Nonlinearity 20, No. 11, 2551--2581 (2007; Zbl 1135.60056)] to describe coupled particles submitted to a potential. The final result is obtained by making the discretization span tends to zero.
