The authors propose a recipe for constructing solutions of stationary Einstein-Maxwell equations. According to a method proposed earlier by other authors, they discuss the Ernst equations that are derived from the axisymmetric Einstein-Maxwell equations. Several examples of obtained solutions are discussed.
