The author introduces a family of enlargements of maximal monotone operators. He characterizes the biggest and the smallest enlargement belonging to this family and discusses some general properties of the members of a subfamily formally closer to the \(\varepsilon\)-subdifferential. He proves the existence of maximal elements. In the case of the subdifferential he proves, that \(\varepsilon\)-subdifferential is maximal in this subfamily.
