The paper is concerned with a modification of the boundary element method for the heat equation which removes the necessity of calculation time histories for each time step in the integral representation. The modification is based on an additional two-level scheme which uses radial basis functions with virtual collocation points. Numerical results showing advantages over the traditional boundary element method are presented.
