The authors study necessary and sufficient solvability conditions and the structure of the set of solutions for nonhomogeneous linear boundary value problems for operator equations with a generalized-invertible operator in a Banach space \[ (Lz)(t)=\varphi(t), \quad lz(\cdot)=\alpha. \tag{1} \] They construct a generalized Green operator of the semihomogeneous boundary value problem \[ (Lz)(t)=\varphi(t), \quad lz(\cdot)=0, \] and analyze its properties with connection to a generalized inverse operator of the problem (1). An example of the operator integral equation in a Banach space subject to the integral boundary condition is given to illustrate the method developed in the paper.
