This paper is devoted to the study of the question when in the rearrangement invariant Banach function spaces, bases (with similar properties as trigonometric bases) exist. The paper contains three interesting theorems; for instance on bases in the space \(L_ 1\) (theorem 3) and in the Banach space \(Y\oplus Z\) (theorem 2).
