The so-called Berger spheres are obtained by scaling the length of the fibers of the standard Hopf fibration \(S^{2n+1}\to CP^ n\). Extending work of \textit{T. Sakai} [Hokkaido Math. J. 10, 143-155 (1981; Zbl 0469.53041)], the author gives an explicit description of the cut loci and the diameters of these interesting Riemannian manifolds.
