By using the defining relations in terms of Chevalley generators, it is shown that the quantum supergroup \(U_ q(\text{osp}(1/2n))\) is isomorphic to the quantum group \(U_ q(\text{so}(2n+1))\) restricted to the class of tensorial representations, when \(p=-q\). For generic \(q\), finite-dimensional irreducible representations of \(U_ q(\text{osp}(1/2n))\) are deformations of finite-dimensional \(\text{osp}(1/2n)\) representations. A consequence of the author's isomorphism is the one-to-one correspondence between finite-dimensional representations of \(\text{osp}(1/2n)\) and the nonspinorial representations of \(\text{so}(2n+1)\) [\textit{V. Rittenberg} and \textit{M. Scheunert}, Commun. Math. Phys. 83, 1-9 (1982; Zbl 0479.17001)].
