Weak Kato-inequalities and positive semigroups (Q1086817): Difference between revisions

It is well-known that the positivity of \(C_ 0\) semigroups of linear operators is equivalent with the positivity of the resolvent of their generators. On a Banach lattice, this paper offers a characterization of the positivity in terms of i) the generator of adjoint semigroup, or ii) the adjoint of the generator. Through the same ''Kato-inequality'', some results regarding comparison of two-semigroups are also given.
