The author deals with conditions guaranteeing that nonlocal boundary value problems for elliptic partial differential equations of the second order in an interval are Fredholm solvable in the Banach spaces \(L^p\). Moreover, the author proves the noncoercive estimates for the solutions of the problems under consideration. In the case \(L^2\) space he proves the coercive estimate both for the variable space and spectral parameter. Furthermore, the obtained results are applied to the study of a nonlocal boundary value problem for the Laplace equation in a cylindrical domain.
