The paper under review considers analytic functions with positive real part in the unit disc, which were much studied during the twentieth century. Several extremely technical theorems are proved. For example, given a number \(a\) in the complex plane such that \(\mathrm{Re} (a) > 0\), and a function \(P\) analytic in the unit disc such that \(\mathrm{Re}(a^-P(z)) > 0\) and normalized in the usual fashion, i.e. \(P(0) = 1\), additional conditions are discovered that guarantee that \(\mathrm{Re}(aP(z)) > 0\).
