The authors consider equations of the type \[ \dot{x} = A(t)x + F(t,x) \] in some Banach space with locally integrable function \(A\) of bounded linear operators and a Carathéodory function \(F\), i.e., \(F\) is continuous in \(x\) and measurable in \(t\). Results on integral manifolds and invariant foliation for equations of this kind can be found in the papers by the authors [Integral mannifolds for Carathéodory type differential equations in Banach spaces, \textit{B. Aulbach} (ed.) et al., Singapore: World Scientific. 45-119 (1996) and Invariant foliations for Carathéodory type differential equations in Banach spaces, Advances in Stability Theory, Gordon and Breach (to appear)]. The main result of this article is the Hartman-Grobman theorem for equations of this type. The general approach of this linearization problem is to first decouple and then, in a second step, to linearize each of the decoupled equations separately. This approach is not restricted to the hyperbolic situation and also applied to the general nonhyperbolic case.
