The s-tuples \([n_ 1,...,n_ s]\), \(s\geq 6\), for which there actually exists an elliptic K3 fibration \(\pi\) : \(X\to C\) with exactly s singular fibers of type \(I_{n_ 1},...,I_{n_ s}\) are listed. Out of the a priori 1242 admissible (i.e. \(\sum n_ i =24)\) s-tuples, exactly 135 do not occur. The 112 actually occuring 6-tuples (among the 199 a priori admissible) are constructed via their associated J-map. The other occuring s-tuples (s\(\geq 7)\) are deduced from the fact (2.4): if \([n_ 1,...,n_ s]\) occurs, so does \([n_ 1,...,n_{i- 1},a,b,n_{i+1},...,n_ s]\) if \(a+b=n_ i.\) The existence in the remaining 135 cases is disproved by first showing the existence of p-torsion (for suitable \(p=2,3,5,7)\) in the Mordell-Weil group of sections (4.4) and (4.5), and getting a contradiction to the fact that some subset of those \(n_ i's\) which p divides must sum up to \((24p/p+1)\) (5.5).
