The author constructs the general form of exact similarity solutions of the full nonlinear Boltzmann equation for Maxwell molecules, in the spatially homogeneous case, including an arbitrary source term \(Q(\underline v,t).\) The main result is obtained by means of a group- theoretic technique, and contains as a particular case the \textit{M. Krook} and \textit{T. T. Wu} solution [Phys. Fluids 20, 1589-1595 (1977; Zbl 0369.76075)] corresponding to \(Q=0\).
