The semi-local convergence of the eighth-order iterative method by using the recurrence relations for solving nonlinear equations in Banach spaces is studied. The paper is organized as follows. Section 1 is an introduction. Preliminary results are given in Section 2. Recurrence relations for the method are studied in Section 3. Semi-local convergence analysis is discussed in Section 4. In Section 5 the comparative study of the computational efficiency is presented in case of some existing methods whose semi-local convergence analysis has been already discussed. Finally, in Section 6, numerical application on nonlinear integral equations is given to show the author's approach.
