Odd-degree interpolating polynomial splines are considered on an interval \([a,b]\). With these splines, even-degree derivatives of the approximands are approximated by the values of the discontinuities of the splines at the knots divided by the stepsize. An earlier theorem on the case of uniformly spaced knots is generalised to the nonuniform situation.
