\textit{S. Mori, D. R. Morrison} and \textit{I. Morrison} [Math. Comput. 51, No. 184, 769-786 (1988; Zbl 0712.14026)] gave a conjecture on the classification of four-dimensional terminal cyclic quotient singularities of prime index, which was partially proved by \textit{G. K. Sankaran} [Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 107, No. 1, 91-101 (1990; Zbl 0707.14001)]. It turned out that in 1991 \textit{J. Lawrence} [in: Applied Geometry and Discete Mathematics, Festschr. 65th Birthday V. Klee, DIMACS, Ser. Discret. Math. Theor. Comput. Sci. 4, 433-441 (1991; Zbl 0738.52016)] basicly reproved and generalized the result of Sankaran, by using the geometry of numbers. The author translates Lawrence's result into algebraic geometry.
