    In [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 294, No. 2, 523--532 (2004; Zbl 1045.43012)] \textit{H. Jiang} et al. introduced the notion of multiresolution analysis (MRA) on local fields \(F^{(s)}\) of positive characteristic \(p\), proved some properties, and constructed analogues of the Haar MRA and the corresponding ``Haar wavelets''. The theory was further developed by \textit{B. Behera} and \textit{Q. Jahan} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 395, No. 1, 1--14 (2012; Zbl 1247.42034); Adv. Pure Appl. Math. 3, No. 2, 181--202 (2012; Zbl 1248.42028); Collect. Math. 66, No. 1, 33--53 (2015; Zbl 1308.42029); Commun. Math. Anal. 15, No. 2, 52--75 (2013; Zbl 1277.42041)] and \textit{D. Li} and \textit{H. Jiang} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 345, No. 1, 500--510 (2008; Zbl 1152.42008)]. The problem of constructing orthogonal MRA's on the field \(F^{(1)}\) was studied in detail by \textit{Y. A. Farkov} [``Multiresolution analysis and wavelets on Vilenkin groups'', Facta Univ. Ser. Elec. Energ. 21, No. 3, 309--325 (2008; \url{doi:10.2298/FUEE0803309F})], \textit{A. N. Dranishnikov} and \textit{J. Smith} [Topology Appl. 154, No. 4, 934--952 (2007; Zbl 1116.54020)], \textit{Yu. A. Farkov} [Izv. Math. 69, No. 3, 623--650 (2005; Zbl 1086.43006); translation from Izv. Ross. Akad. Nauk, Ser. Mat. 69, No. 3, 193--220 (2005)], \textit{S. F. Lukomskii} [J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 20, No. 1, 42--65 (2014; Zbl 1307.42035)] and \textit{V. Yu. Protasov} and \textit{Yu. A. Farkov} [Sb. Math. 197, No. 10, 1529--1558 (2006; Zbl 1214.42076); translation from Mat. Sb. 197, No. 10, 129--160 (2006)], \textit{V. Y. Protasov} [Sb. Math. 198, No. 11, 1665--1681 (2007; Zbl 1206.42042); translation from Mat. Sb. 198, No. 11, 135--152 (2007)]. In [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 433, No. 2, 1415--1440 (2016; Zbl 1327.42039)] \textit{S. F. Lukomskii} and \textit{A. M. Vodolazov} constructed the mask \(m(0)\) and corresponding refinable function \(\varphi\) using some tree with zero as a root. In this case wavelets \(\left (\mathbf{\psi^{(\mathbf{I})}}\right )_{\mathbf{I} \in GF(p^{\ast})}\) may be found from the equality \(\widehat{\mathbf{\psi}}^{(\mathbf{I})}=m^{(\mathbf{I})}(\chi)\widehat{\varphi}(\chi \mathbf{A}^{-1})\), where \(\mathbf{A}\) is a dilation operator, \(m^{(\mathbf{I})}(\chi)=m^{(\mathbf{0})}(\chi \mathbf{r}_0^{-\mathbf{I}})\) and \(\mathbf{r}_k^{\mathbf{I}}\) are Rademacher functions. However, it has been shown that not all ``masks'' \(m^{(\mathbf{I})}(\chi)\) can be defined by the equation \(m^{(\mathbf{I})}(\chi)=m^{(\mathbf{0})}(\chi \mathbf{r}_0^{-\mathbf{I}})\), and the purpose of this paper is to present an algorithm for the construction of such ``masks'' in the general case.
