The toroidal maps \(\{4,4\}_{b,c}\), \(\{6,3\}_{b,c}\) and \(\{3,6\}_{b,c}\) are obtained from the regular tesselations \(\{\) 4,4\(\}\), \(\{\) 6,3\(\}\) and \(\{\) 3,6\(\}\) by identifications, and are nearly regular (regular if \(bc(b-c)=0),\) in that their symmetry groups are transitive on half their flags. The author here investigates 4-incidence- polytopes with cells isomorphic to one of these toroidal maps, and vertex figures isomorphic to another, or to one of the Platonic polyhedra. The technique used relates them to corresponding hyperbolic honeycombs and groups of \(2\times 2\) matrices, from which criteria for finiteness are found in a number of interesting cases. Incidence-polytopes obtained by identification along Petrie polygons of these hyperbolic honeycombs are also considered.
