On the number of zeros of a mapping (Q1126682): Difference between revisions

It is shown that a constructive proof of the existence of the exact number of zeros of a mapping under smoothness conditions can be derived. This proof uses continuation methods giving the existence of curves reaching zero points. By making the mapping only continuous the existence of at least one zero can be obtained.
