The equivalence of Lagrangian and Eulerian strain space formulation is shown in the case of finite rigid plasticity. The hardening is described either by a scalar parameter or by a back stress. It is shown how one can pass from an objective rate of stress to another one. Starting from a Lagrangian formulation the general hardening laws in an Eulerian equivalent formulation are obtained.
