This paper presents an extensive and comprehensive discussion of the bifurcation of limit cycle creation from a weak focus. Applications with the dynamics of rigid bodies interacting with a medium is considered. A ``bifurcation of cycle creation'' is a self-induced oscillation of a system about a stable fixed-point. The author presents numerous propositions, theorems, and corollaries with a number of illustrations. On balance, however, the paper is primarily theoretical and as such it will probably be of greatest interest to theoreticians and analysts concerned with dynamic stability.
