The purpose of this paper is to present complete sets of symmetries for the one-dimensional Schrödinger equations with some given potentials, namely, \(V_ 1\), \(V_ 2 x\), \(V_ 3 x^ 2\), \(V_ 4 x^{-2}\), \(V_ 5 x^ 2+V_ 6 x^{-2}\), where \(V_ 1,\dots,V_ 6\) are constants. The problem is reduced to solving a linear system of ordinary differential equations. Its general solution describes all \(n\)-order non-equivalent symmetry operators. The same problem is solved also for the case of the supersymmetric oscillator potential. Finally, the methods developed are applied to the inverse problem of describing all potentials admitting a given \(n\)-order symmetry operator. By using generalized Killing tensors, this problem is investigated for \(n\leq 3\).
